An Oak with a Rustic look is all you need to have a sense of nostalgia. Memories of old Barns come to mind. Glad this is my daily walking stick!
Oaks are by far my favorite trees. Strong, hardy and one of the strongest woods in the US. Oak walking sticks can pretty much take any hit that comes their way. Well unless you are attempting to break down a brick wall, then you may have some difficulties..
Oaks grow in many shapes in sizes. From the sprawling Southern Live Oaks that create some of the largest shaded areas to the Red Oaks that can reach up to 150ft tall!! All while providing food for the wildlife to eat.
The Oak tree has many uses. From Lumber, to Medicinal, building boats, and even to make drums in Japan using the Japanese Oak.
All in all the Oak Tree is my favorite tree because of its strength and resilience.
Every Walking Stick is different in shape, size, and diameter. We cant stop Nature! But we will do our best to keep the stick around the same size and shape to ensure uniformity.
